Coming soonAfter signing up, you'll be prompted to either create a new practice or join an existing one. Creating a practice sets you up as the Admin — you can then invite team members from Settings > Users & Permissions.
Your practice name, details, and preferences can all be updated later from the Settings page.
Go to Settings > Connections and click "Connect" on the Xero row. You'll be redirected to Xero to authorise access. Once connected, OneHQ automatically matches Xero organisations to your entities by ABN.
For full details, see the Xero integration guide.
Jobs represent individual work items — a specific BAS for a quarter, a tax return for a financial year, etc. Each job has a type, period, status, due date, and assigned staff.
Job statuses track the full lifecycle: Not Started → In Progress → Awaiting Info → Review → Out to Sign → Signed → Lodged → Complete.
Clients are organised into Client Groups containing one or more Entities. A group might be "Smith Family" containing entities like "Smith Family Trust", "Smith Pty Ltd", and individual tax returns.
Entity types include Company, Trust, Individual (ITR), SMSF, and Partnership. Each entity has its own obligations, contacts, jobs, and communication history.
OneHQ pulls read-only financial data from your clients' Xero organisations — Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, bank transactions, payroll data, and more. It never writes anything back to Xero.
This data powers BAS readiness checks, tax return preparation signals, tax planning worksheets, risk engine analysis, and financial snapshot views. See the full Xero integration guide for details.
Go to Settings > Connections, expand the Xero section, and click "Disconnect". You can disconnect individual Xero organisations or all at once. Disconnecting revokes the OAuth authorisation and unlinks entities from their Xero orgs.
For full details, see the disconnecting section of the Xero guide.
